1 Cr. 29:11-12

In Bible Study this week we read this verse that has been so meaningful for me during this season of instability that has come with divorce. It's surprising how clear you see life when you are about to lose what you have. Thus, I have thought a lot about to whom belongs my life, my children, my house, my gardens/yard, my things, my car, my everything. And, little by little, I have changed my way of seeing what I have - I am seeing it all as if I were more a steward or administrator than an owner. And, interestingly, it has calmed me so much to have changed this perspective.
"Yours, Oh Lord, is the greatness and the power, and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all. Wealth and honor come from you; You are ruler of all things. In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all. Now, our God, we give you thanks, and praise your name."
1 Chronicles 29:11-15

ReplyDeleteUn beso.
Mary,
ReplyDeleteI'm so saddened to hear about your troubles. I will be praying for you especially. You were such a rock for me to hold onto during our most trying difficulties. I'm so grateful to report that things have improved greatly, and I can see that God will be using our difficulties for good. I know He will be doing the same for you, even though it's so impossible to see. But I'm seeing God turn impossibilities into possibilites in my life, so I know He can do all things. We had to be pummelled and hit absolute rock bottom, so that we had no choice but to keep looking for answers, until we found them. Keep turning it all over to Him as you bravely are. He is very close to you right now, and will hold you in the palm of His hand. For you are most like the image of His Son, when you are suffering loss, betrayal, and heartbreak. Please call me whenever you need to talk. :)
In Christ,
Lucy
