Sunday's Song

Gran Canaria, Espana,  2008

. .Today on the way to Sunday's service with my daughter there was an accident where a car hit a cyclist and killed him. This happened on the corner in front of our church. I couldn't stop thinking about the many people affected by such a tragedy; the family of the cyclist, the poor person who was driving the car, and many more people who knew one or the other of the two people. I prayed for some hours thinking about the brevity of our lives, how fragil we really are, and how much many people are suffering around us without our even noticing. Tonight I simply offer this praise song that I heard last Sunday and it has stayed with me all week. It's beautiful for singing with or without the guitar. I hope you like it. . .

Lead_Me_to_your_Heart
Savior I come
Quiet my soul
remember Redemption’s Hill
Where Your blood was spilled
For my ransom
Everything I once held dear
I count it all as loss
Lead me to the cross
Where Your love poured out
Bring me to my knees
Lord I lay me down
Rid me of myself
I belong to You

Lead me, lead me to the cross
You were as I
Tempted and trialed
You areThe word became flesh
Bore my sin and death
Now you're risen
Everything I once held dear
I count it all as loss

To your heart, To your heart
Lead me to your heart
Lead me to your heart...
