San Francisco 1906
This film of San Francisco was "lost" for many years.
It was taken by a camera mounted on the front of a cable car in 1906, just four days before the earthquake.
It was the first 35mm film ever.
You may recognize Market Street and the clock tower at the end at the Embarcadero that is still there.
Not a stop-sign or cross-walk in sight, but crazy traffic. Moreover, the number of automobiles is staggering for that age. Amazing!
