Partir

Leaving
I always try to stay upbeat here on my blog and on fb, but raw grief is the only thing that can describe tonight and the saying good-bye. Do you think if I don’t sleep all night that morning will never arrive? Leaving Sacramento at 6:00 am.

Siempre intento mantenerme positiva aquí en mi blog y en fb, pero un desgarro de mis carnes es la única manera de describir lo que siento esta noche con las despedidas. ¿Piensas que si no me duermo toda la noche, no llegará nunca la mañana? Nos marchamos de Sacramento a las 6 de la mañana.

    ‎"Partir". No se puede escoger mejor palabra. Un doble significado implícito y quizá no buscado. Partir hacia una nueva vida, pero también partir(se) en dos mitades uno mismo. Cada vez que hoy imagine en mi cabeza tus ojos mirando por el retrovisor, pensaré que en tu lugar haría lo mismo los minutos pares y que no sería capaz en los impares. Lo pienso friamente, y en realidad... los hijos crecen y van necesitando cosas que los padres no podemos darles, de la misma forma que los padres vamos necesitando otras que los hijos tampoco pueden darnos a nosotros. Empiezo a tener dudas en los impares.
