Words and music by Woody Guthrie:
As I was walking a ribbon of highway
I saw above me an endless skyway. I saw below me a golden valley.
This land was made for you and me.
This land is your land, this land is my land, from California to the New York Island. From the redwood forest to the gulf stream waters. This land was made for you and me.
"Estad quietos, y conoced que yo soy Dios."
Salmos 46:10
"Be still my soul! the Lord is on thy side; Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain; Leave to thy God to order and provide; In every change He faithful will remain. Be still my sou! thy best, thy heavenly Friend Thro' thorny ways leads to a joyful end."Himno por Katharina von Schlegel, Finlandia.

I sometimes think that the sweetest refuge is immersing oneself in a historical novel like this one that deals with the relationships between the Chinese, Japanese and Whites during the Second World War and in the 80's in Seattle, WA. I'm completely captivated.
